With Valentines Day fast approaching I thought I’d like to share 5 of my favourite Valentines craft ideas with you.
Making gifts yourself and going DIY with Valentines Day is still as popular as ever. Handmade items offer a touch of authenticity and genuineness, plus it can be a lot of fun. If you’re stuck for gift ideas, why not set yourself and your partner the task of making something for each other? So in no particular order here are some of my favourite Valentines Craft makes!
01. – Cute Card Candy Huggers!
Great for children and adults alike, these cute little candy huggers from Lia Griffith are super cute and super easy to make. Head on over to her blog post where you can download the files you need to create them!
02. – String Art – Or String He-art!
If you’re feeling adventurous, or simply want to try something new, you can’t go wrong with string art. It’s great fun and makes for something truly unique for a valentines day gift. 03. – Fabric Heart Sachets
I personally love these little fabric hearts from Flamingo Toes. Here’s what she says about them: “These sweet DIY Fabric Heart Valentines are perfect for giving to a friend or neighbor! They are filled with fiberfill and lavender so they make a great little sachet. 04.- Dipped & Decorated Yummy Pretzels!
I think all too often people forget food (especially yummy sweet treats) are craft too! One of my inspirations, 5 Minutes for Mom, have written a great blog post about how to make these super yummy dipped & decorated pretzels. Don’t forget these aren’t just for Valentines day!
05. Needle Felt Love Birds!
Needle felt is definitely something I would like to do more of, and also something I’m going to be sharing on this blog. These super cute love birds (penguins) from Scratchcraft would make a great little keepsake for your other half! You could keep this on the inside of your coat pocket or even on your bedside table.
